BMW V29.1 MK2/3 and V32 MK4 Navigation Installation Instructions

 

BMW Navigation software V29.1 for MK2 / MK3 Navigation System

Installation process:

• Unlock car, open the driver’s door.
• Open the trunk, and locate the nav computer and press the eject button on the drive.
• Eject the map disc.
• Switch ignition to position 1, leave door open.
• Insert firmware disc into Navigation drive & follow instruction on screen. Be patient, it may take a minute to come up.
• Wait (approx. 6 mins) for update until monitor asks to eject firmware disc for reboot.
• Go back to trunk and eject CD if it has not already ejected itself.
• Insert Key CD (Only if monitor requests it) to complete firmware download.
• Replace navigation map disc.
• Confirm reboot in car & that completes the update!

Navigation Firmware V32 for MK4 DVD Navigation System

Installation process:

• Unlock car, open the drivers door.
• Open the trunk, and locate the nav computer and press the eject button on the drive.
• Eject the map disc.
• Switch ignition to position 1, leave door open.
• Insert firmware disc into DVD drive follow instruction on screen. Be patient, it may take a minute to come up.
• Wait (approx. 6 mins) until monitor asks to eject Update CD for reboot.
• Go back to trunk and eject CD if the CD/DVD has not already ejected itself.
• Remove disc from DVD drive.
• Replace navigation map disc.
• Confirm reboot in car & that completes the update!
